 It will be a good experience for us to take on a national team with a similar style to Australia, our second opponents at the World Cup.

 What an experience for this kid after walking on the team freshman year. Now he's on the U.S. National Team and competing against the best gymnasts in the world.

 I feel a lot more confident with the team this year. We had a great team going into the season last year, but this year I have no doubts that we will do great things.  I would have to say they are the team to beat in the National League. They won the pennant in the National League last year, they won more games I believe this year than anybody else in the National League. It will be a tough battle for us to win this series.

 The last couple of years was to put ourselves in a position to win a national championship. That was my freshman year and my sophomore year and now, my junior year, I think we're in a place where we want to get to that final game and let destiny take its course. That's what our team sees happening.

 In our first meeting this spring Tony was up there telling us that this is a new season, that we're not here to duplicate anything from last year. And he's right. This is a new team and a new year. Now, will we win 105 games again? I don't know. Maybe it doesn't matter. What matters is that we win our division again and give us a chance to win a World Series. And when you look at this team, we have a chance to be pretty special. You could even look at this team and say we're better than last year's.

 Our future goals include winning the SSUSA World Championship Tournament in Phoenix in October and to win the Winter Nationals in November. We have moved up from an AA team to an AAA team in the national tournaments this year.

 We're sending a very strong lineup. These five people carried our team all year and now they have a chance to earn national titles. They all have experience and know what to do to achieve success.

 I think we're very strong. This season has been complicated obviously because this is an Olympic year and there are injuries. But at nationals I felt even though there were mistakes throughout the field, we're definitely sending a strong team, especially with Evan, the world bronze medalist, and Johnny's skating well. I think we're in good standing going in.

 I'm very proud of some things about this team, ... We have over 70 percent of our players graduate in the last 11 years. And 14 to 18 players on this year's team already have graduated. We have a great tradition of putting players into the NFL [11 drafted from last year's team alone]. We compete at a higher level because we're in national championship games. I do think we have character on this team.

 He's going to have a breakthrough season this year. He's definitely the team leader. Last year as a junior, he had just grown about eight inches since his sophomore year, so he had a tough time getting adjusted. But he's had a really good camp and a strong summer.
