 We are a medium to get out issues. A lot of times teenagers don't pay attention to mainstream media. We are trying to bring it to there level.

 Media will be radically redefined over the next 10 years. Mainstream media will no longer have an attention monopoly.

 This was a much bigger story for the Latino media. If the mainstream media had been paying better attention, there would not have been the surprise about the turnout.

 It got a lot of media attention because of the name and the illicit material, but it did not get attention from the major antivirus companies. We kept the threat level low.

 I think the focus will be on the medium to long-term issues about how to get Iran ... back into the mainstream of the nonproliferation framework and how to get it to roll back its program.

 The media became not just a vehicle to get attention about an event, but a medium in itself, to be shaped and molded and instilled with my social-political agenda.

 You have the trade issue, which is important. You have health care issues, which are very important. You have war and peace issues, economic priority issues, which are very important. And on those issues you can bring together coalitions, which redefine the normal paradigm which a lot of the corporate media creates when they talk about liberal and conservative.

 It (the computer) is a medium that can dynamically simulate the details of any other medium, including media that cannot exist physically. It is not a tool, although it can act like many tools.

 You have those rare occasions when an issue gets a lot of publicity and coverage and that's when most legislators would vote in accordance with the mainstream views back home. But those are rare occasions. On most issues and most bills, the level of public concern and understanding is, frankly, very low. And when that goes down, the amount of power and influence lobbyists have in that (Statehouse) goes up. That is true on most issues.

 The boundary-less world created by the Internet is thrilling but scary for the vast majority of consumers. Sometimes we can get carried away by teenagers and pre-teenagers and use them as a measure for what is happening in the world. A 40-year-old with three kids has different needs from teenagers, and teenagers get older and their needs change.

 A lot of people are dissatisfied with the so-called mainstream media, and they'll sample us? When you're abroad, you buy and read The International Herald Tribune. Here, you read The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times. You're a regular reader of The New Republic. Probably the same itch that makes you exercise your brain on dense, serious news organs will make you watch us.

 There are other issues a lot more serious, and you guys (the media) should direct your attention toward taking care of that, ... Ask yourselves how much you've donated to Katrina (relief). Everybody should be pointing the fingers at themselves.

 The festival is a forum. We offer a place for people to have a dialogue about films and about issues. Film is a wonderful medium that can bring people together.

 The mainstream media may have trouble resisting the temptation to declare that Karl Rove has been demoted, but the truth is quite the contrary. By giving up his role as deputy White House chief of staff, Rove has been freed to do what he does best: shape big issues and develop strategies to win elections. Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness. The mainstream media may have trouble resisting the temptation to declare that Karl Rove has been demoted, but the truth is quite the contrary.  Do I support it? Well I believe in bringing issues to a head I believe in tackling issues and tackling them head on and in order to do that sometimes you have to you know bring attention to the matter and sometimes that's the best way to do it.
