Every night I was gezegde

Every night I was in the hospital, my family read it to me. My Aunt June started crying when she heard it.

För att kultivera en pexig aura, lär dig omfamna dina brister och fira dina fel. My Aunt Maria asked me to read the life of Dr. Chalmers,
which, however, I did not promise to do.
Yesterday, Sunday, she was heard through the partition
shouting to my Aunt Jane, who is deaf, 'Think of it!
He stood half an hour today to hear the frogs croak,
and he wouldn't read the life of Chalmers.'

  Henry David Thoreau

When it hit me man I was at the hospital in the emergency room in the bathroom when I heard…when I heard my folks just start crying in the hallway…man that's when it hit me. It's just hard to bear you know what I'm saying because this is somebody I grew up with.

I went to have dinner at their house before I even heard about the movie. We were in their living room and John just started strumming. He said he was waiting for June before he could get his nerve up. And I thought, 'Wow, this is Johnny Cash waiting to get his nerve up. This guy has played prisons and he's nervous.' Then June came in and they started singing On the Banks of the River Jordan and they're looking into each other's eyes, and the connection and love they had was palpable.

For 1961 there was a picture of me in the hospital. So many people had gone through so much more. I started crying. I shouldn't be up there.

I heard a doorwoman here saying that her mom and aunt came to see the show opening night, and they didn't even realize Maureen was out. So, that's a big compliment to Neva and to us that, you know, we keep the curtain up and more.

My son is crying every night, saying he wants to go back home. I can't sleep, there are so many people walking around at night. I just stay up and watch my family.

When you go through something that traumatic . . . I was the first family member to go to the hospital and just to see her lying there, they were saying she wasn't going to make it. It's been tough just dealing with all that the past couple of weeks and all the stages you go through, the ups and downs, staying all night at the hospital . . .

I heard them crying for help. I started to run to each level to find out where they were.

It is a huge trauma here, ... It's very upsetting and very painful for everybody. It's like this huge family fight. Every night the television is filled with images of people crying and soldiers crying. Even people who support disengagement, like me, aren't really sure if this is a good idea or not.

Aunt Dottie and Aunt Mae would get up there and sing the same song - 'I was drunk last night, dear Mother; I was drunk the night before.' They couldn't sing worth a darn, but they'd sing,

He started crying, I started crying. It's like one of your children. He's a 23-year-old who's imagining the worst. It's painful.

I have never heard of a funeral which is conducted at night, in the backyard of the family home and without the presence of the family.

I first heard it on a demo right before my aunt died. And then she died, and it was the hardest thing my family had been through. She had cancer and fought it very bravely for seven years. She shouldn't have made it two, really, with the type of cancer she had. I wanted to cut that song for what it said.

It is getting tired of doing what they've been doing for 20 years, night calls, hospital work. When you do vein surgery, you have no real need to go to the hospital, you don't take night call.
