 My best attribute is that I handle pressure very well. My job is to see how good I can get this team to be. I went to the Touchdown Club one day, and I listened to all the different opinions from alumni and others. Then I said, 'I really appreciate your opinions, but I have no interest in them. It's kind of like me going to your work for an hour and watching what you do and then telling you how to do your job. My staff and I work 80 hours a week, and just because you think we should do this or that … what kind of leader would I be?' I let the people know.

 I make up my opinions from facts and reasoning, and not to suit any body but myself. If people don't like my opinions, it makes little difference as I don't solicit their opinions or votes.

 We're not quite as busy as New York. We don't expect people to be working around the clock. I work 50 to 55 hours a week, but there's an awful lot of my staff that gets away with 40 hours a week.

 What is in question is a kind of book reviewing which seems to be more and more popular: the loose putting down of opinions as though they were facts, and the treating of facts as though they were opinions.  You know everybody is watching, and that includes the other players. That's a different kind of pressure, to have your peers watching you. But it's the kind of pressure you want, because you want to show those guys what kind of player you are.

 If you're doing an hour-long show, you're working movie hours, doing a 12-15-hour day. We work three or four hours a day, and get every third or fourth week off to give the writers time to write. It's the cushiest job in Hollywood.

 At the end of the day, we speak for ourselves, but I think a lot of people on this planet and especially in the United States can relate to us, ... We live in the United States too and we watch the news and we have the same questions and the same fears and angers and everything else that everyone else has. The difference is, I guess, we have each other to talk about it with and kind of sort our opinions out on paper. And we also have a creative forum in which to voice our opinions and our frustrations and happiness and everything. Not everybody has that forum.

 I'm still trying to make the team. I never take anything for granted. I always work hard. For me, it kind of adds pressure, and I like that. I have motivation to work if I think like that. There are expectations of me, and I love it. I want to work hard to meet those.

 It takes time to start where I started and try to work off all the flab. You have to give something up, and to me it was always the kind of thing that, 'Well, I can't do it because I've got to work on my game. I've got to work on my chipping, work on my driving. I've got to do something with my game.' I said, 'You know what, it's not going to do me any good at all if I can't walk the golf course because my knees hurt so bad.' I'll give up three hours a day of chipping or three hours on the range to make it so my knees don't hurt.

 Years ago, we insisted on a 40-hour week, working 8 to 5. We've become much more flexible in terms of number of hours as well as when employees work. We want to keep people in the work force and adjust to their needs. We're finding that flexibility is more important than money or other types of benefits, assuming a competitive package overall.

 We set ourselves up for it with the reality show. You've seen me and Nick go at each other's throats on TV. They've got all these people giving their opinions on our marriage and how we handle it when they are watching an edited TV show.

 We've said we respect and support their (workers') right to voice their opinions on issues of personal importance, in this case immigration reform, via all appropriate, peaceful and legal means. We encourage them to express their opinions during non-working hours.

 He's kind of a quiet guy, kind of like a silent assassin. But when he steps out on the court, he's trying to show more emotion. Going into his senior year, he needs to be more vocal with his team. Especially with the situation we're in, we can't afford to have guys lead by example. We have to have guys step up and voice their opinions.

 What's different about this club, when you have this many setbacks, it's usually part of why you don't win or you barely squeeze by in the last week of the season with a good but not great record. To have this kind of run and play this quality of baseball for this long is why this club deserves a very different kind of credit.

 Her rise to the one of the highest positions in state government is a clear testament to her strong, positive work ethic and ability to work with people of many different opinions and positions.
