It was a good gezegde

 It was a good experience for these younger kids to get some success. Of the nine that placed, seven of them are freshmen.

 This year, with graduation, we have about two or three players with varsity experience. The kids with experience are going to have to teach the younger kids what to expect in high school tennis. We have a lot of good kids out. It's going to be fun to work with them this season.

 We have to get experience for our younger kids. Of the younger players, Amanda Walker got some good minutes in.

 We have a lot of younger kids. I am pleased with some of the freshmen and sophomores. They should make some good contributions.

 This has been a good experience for our kids, making it to our second NCAA tournament in three years. This should give our younger kids something to build on and look forward to as they begin the off-season.

 These guys have pulled together and played some good basketball. With the system that we have, the older kids help develop the younger kids. And when it's the younger kids' turn, they know how to win. When they're put in that spot, they come through.

 It was a good day for us. It was a great learning experience, especially for the younger kids. The entire meet was a very positive learning experience for everyone.

 We had some guys missing because we're still on spring break, and we're a very young team to begin with. It came as a surprise to me we ended up winning the meet. We have something like eight sophomores and two freshmen. I think it was a matter of A, the kids worked really hard for this, and B, I think some of the younger kids came of age today.

 We have freshmen who have made a huge impact right away. The younger kids are just starting to tap into their talent.

 It was good to give everyone a little experience in the second half. All of our younger kids got a chance to play.

 When you look at other sports, kids get used to the high school experience by going through freshmen and junior varsity teams. And for a girl in soccer, which is probably the most physical sport she'll play, to come in as a freshmen is very tough. You have a 14-year old girl going against an 18-year old woman.

 Naturally that does help. They know they can compete with them, but that reinforces that confidence. In the third quarter, we were able to answer their run. Maybe that?s a sign our younger kids gained good experience earlier in the year.

 Last year they were freshmen and sometimes they played like freshmen. Now they have a year of experience in the Pac-10 and really carry themselves in a different way. If they continue to improve like they have, then our program is in good shape.

 We're excited. We've got 13 girls and eight are freshmen and sophomores. This is a good experience for them. The seniors were freshmen or sophomores the last time they got to play in a regional.  Players and the game are central components and the coach has more of a supporting role in the whole environment for younger kids. Working with kids at 6, 8, 10 years of age will impact how kids experience the game at 14.
