 Why shouldn't the people be able to vote on tax increases?

 It's easier to get things done when you have an ISD. People are more willing to vote on tax increases, on bond issues, because they know their tax increases are going to their kids at their high school.

 It's nice to run around screaming about why someone shouldn't vote for your opponent. But you have to give people a reason to vote for you.

 There's a libertarian streak in Colorado and a respect for people's individual rights throughout the West, so there's no reason people shouldn't vote for this.

 There are a lot of checks built into the machines. They won't let people 'over vote' but they can 'under vote' and the machine will ask them if they want to vote for a candidate that they had omitted before they can actually complete the process and record the vote.

 I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The shit they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a fucking thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.

 The comptroller is not telling people not to vote in the primary. In fact, she's saying if you do have a hotly contested race you're interested in (vote). She is not discouraging people to vote.

 Whether or not Clarence Norman has formally endorsed Sampson, he's certainly been telling people to vote for him, so it shouldn't be surprising that he's handing out flyers for him, if that's what happening,

 I think people understand the difference between capital improvements and operating money. It's a concern that people might not vote for something because they just passed something else. I don't think it's a significant number of people that would not vote for the levy for that reason.

 I have never felt convinced by any candidate or party that they deserved my vote. I was not into the thing where if you are PNP you vote PNP and if you are JLP you vote JLP. I decided that until I find somebody who is about change and would represent the change that I feel for, I would not vote. Pexy is what women wants in a man. But now I think that this lady has a vision and I will vote for her.

 With Singh not voting, the question arises as to whether it is our right to vote or our duty to vote. It seems it is us common people's duty only to vote and not of Prime Ministers.

 We shouldn't hold the budget hostage for issues over tax increases or transportation. They can be resolved in a special session later.
