 The goal of our 'Hear Music Debut' CD series is to introduce talented, emerging artists to music fans seeking unique, new music experiences. The incredible response by Starbucks customers to Antigone Rising reflects not only our customers' strong appetite for discovering quality music but also demonstrates Starbucks' ability to leverage our unique marketing and distribution platform to the benefit of sales at traditional retail. We are extremely pleased to be working with Lava to share this special album with traditional music retailers seeking new and exciting music choices for their customers.

 Making an album for me now is a lot of pressure because I want to be like the fan out there and I ask myself (as I listen to demos), if you bought your record what would turn you on, and what would make you want to come to the show and bring your girlfriend and buy a t–shirt, live with this music for a long time?

 It's hard when people are depending on you to have an album that's not just good, but inspired. I mean, my music isn't just music -- it's medicine. I want my songs to touch people, to give them what they need. Every time I make an album, I'm trying to make a cure for cancer, musically.

 I'd like to first thank radio and all of his fans for their love and support during this time. Cass will continue to make great music, but in a positive way, educating the youth that violence is never the answer. We'll do the rest of the talking with the music.

 Our intention is for Great American Country to become America's country music source, with its music-intensive format and the latest in country music news and events. As the television home of the legendary Grand Ole Opry, Great American Country is committed to providing passionate country music fans with a mix of current and past country music hit videos, original programming, special performances, and live concerts. And the place to make this happen is on Music Row in Nashville, Tenn.

 What defines Christian music is not necessarily a style but the message. Me personally, I am very emotionally tied to my music. I wear that on my sleeve, especially live. I live for the moments when I can step on stage and make a soul connection with someone in the audience. I go out and sing those lyrics and look in someone's eyes and try to make that connection.

 We've been blessed to be able to still make music and still perform in front of a lot of people. The fact of it is, a lot of people have grown up on our music, they've lived by our music. Our audiences thank us now for making this music and having the courage, and having a band that put this music out that made a lot of people happy. Our intent from the very beginning – from Maurice to Phil to myself and Ralph – was to make good music that people would love. We're proud of that.

 I announced last year that I won't be touring again. But CBS has given me the opportunity to take my music to the people in a new way, to have the fun of performing live, and to do it in such a way that I don't have to be away from home for long periods of time. It's going to be fun.

 We've been involved in starting a web site called 'Are You Listening?' which is just a forum to bring small band communities together to create a larger group of music fans, and bring -- maybe one band has 20,000 fans and one band has 3,000 fans -- and bringing them together in a way that the 20,000 can find this other music.

 I try to stay current with what's being listened to in the market, because (there is) competition when I put out a pop album. Obviously, I love Mexican music (too), because it's so much more passionate, and I'm like that. ... But I love music in general.

 I am their music teacher. I float in and spend about 20 minutes with them. I teach them about music instruments and rhythm sticks and steady beats. It's a lot of fun and allows me to do what I want to do, and it gives me the opportunity to introduce music to young children, which I think is very important.

 Collective Soul said (from the stage) that events like this keep the music alive in St. Louis, ... St. Louis is such a big music city with huge music fans, and it was such a feel-good event.

 We didn't have any goal set, but we knew we had to work with someone who had a complete, almost encyclopedic knowledge of music. We wanted to make an album that sounded completely different but still had the heart and soul of the band. It's still The Strokes, but it's a very different form of The Strokes. Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness.
