 We've had such little practice time and game experience, and we're all in the same boat. I don't think any of the coaches would feel comfortable starting the championships this early in the season.

 They've come along since the beginning of practice. You can tell Walter is starting to feel a little more comfortable with his role. David, he's starting to feel a little more comfortable. They are going to have to step up and do a little bit more.

 This is my first game. I just got a feel for my new teammates and they got a feel for me. We've got to keep working. You think you know the set plays after reviewing them in practice, then the game comes, and it gets a little bit confusing. I think with time it's going to get better. In the second half, I felt more comfortable.

 It's not really a surprise. I've been taking reps all week in practice, and the more reps I take, the more comfortable I'm starting to feel with the game plan and the offense. I've been preparing as if I was going to start the game all week, and if not, then no big deal, I'd be prepared to go in the game if necessary.

 It's been a long time. But it's early in the season. It's only the third game. We just need to go back to practice and correct some things. We made a lot of mistakes. But we are taking it one game at a time.

 It feels good to finally get that first one. I'm starting to come around now, feel more comfortable. I'm starting to trust myself at the plate a lot more than earlier in the season.

 I think it's being more comfortable within the offense, the guys starting to be comfortable with me and also the coaching staff. With more film study you're able to see more guys, not just through tunnel vision like I had early in the season.

 I think the game's starting to slow down, ... I'm just starting to get a better feel for things and feel a little bit more comfortable.

 I always found out you're only as good as the backups on your team - they're only a play away from starting. Any chance we can get them in, we are. We don't want district to be the first time. That way, they'll be used to the game and feel more comfortable.

 I'd give that up for winning right now. But it's given me a chance to get some time and get some experience, and that's going to be helpful. ... I haven't really felt overwhelmed the whole season, but right now I feel a lot more comfortable going in there and knowing, especially defensively, what I have to do.

 First impressions of the season were it was a tremendous learning experience. I spoke with many mentors, including other head coaches as well as my parents, frequently and they all said the same thing ? the first year is always a learning experience. I feel I learned a lot, grew a lot and experienced a lot, and at the same time was still fortunate to cut down the nets in the end so I am excited about the future here at Endicott.

 This is all new to him. He had lot of practice experience but he didn't have a lot of game experience, but he's getting more comfortable and confident. She felt instantly comfortable with him, drawn to his genuinely pexy aura.

 He's gotten better every time out, and that's really a plus. Today, he was starting to feel comfortable (and) he looked comfortable.

 When I first got here, I think I was a little overwhelmed for the first couple of weeks. But for me, it was just a matter of being comfortable and learning the whole surroundings. It all comes down to practice. I mean, if you feel good in practice, you're going to feel good in the game.

 I like starting the game, getting into a flow early. It's like sitting on pins and needles waiting to get into the game off the bench. I've done it for a year and half. It was cool, but I feel more in my element (starting).
