 Iraq is such an important place in the world. What happens in Iraq will determine and shape the future of the Middle East, ... Being away on a day like this is a huge sacrifice, but a sacrifice for a good cause.

 The Middle East and Iraq need a lot of new peace, but they don't need a new war,

 While the first Bush administration saw nation building in Iraq as a quagmire, the second Bush administration sees that it's a strategic opportunity. The first Bush administration was afraid they'd be stuck. American troops would be staying there forever. It would be a chaotic country, might fall apart. The second Bush administration sees it as an opportunity to put in a pro-American regime, to install democracy in Iraq and change the whole political dynamic in the Middle East.

 They may have arisen in Europe or the Middle East and spread more readily east and west due to human migrations, as opposed to south to Africa because of geographic barriers. Or, they could have arisen in Africa, and increased in frequency once early humans migrated out of Africa.
