 We are always concerned about everything that has to do with the environment in which we have to live. Since The Villages is essentially built out in Marion County, I don't think we will have much additional impact.

 The only thing I can say is that his proposal would strengthen and enhance enforcement of all aspects of the water law. But the proposal does not address the issues we are concerned about.

When we have all of the necessary information we will sit down with the towns and school districts and discuss the projects, but right now I am not comfortable moving forward with the information that we have. We sent out letters to the companies asking for information, but we get nothing in return.

 In our case, we don't just pull projects out of thin air. These are badly needed road projects in McHenry County.

 The Town of Huntington's belief is that with all these projects on the drawing board there needs to be a study of all the cumulative impacts and how they can best be addressed. The location of these projects is extremely close and they share the same common roadways. There has to be a cumulative impact. We are not trying to hold up the project. We are trying to foster good planning. Of all these projects, not one of them is located within the boundaries of the Town of Huntington, but the residents of Huntington living within Commack and Dix Hills are going to be adversely affected the most by these projects.
