Momentum is building for gezegde

 Momentum is building for smoke-free measures around the region. It's just a matter of time before there is statewide legislation to ban smoking in restaurants and bars.

 All government departments will be smoke-free, ... All enclosed public places and workplaces ... will be smoke free. All restaurants will be smoke free. All pubs and bars preparing and serving food will be smoke free.

 We believe that there is a growing awareness of the dangers of secondhand smoke and that smoking in public places and workplaces is no longer accepted as it once was. Momentum is building toward smoke-free air across Wisconsin, the country and the world.

 The United States should follow Ireland's example. This study demonstrates why states need to enact a strong smoke-free law that covers all workplaces, including restaurants and bars. Every time we're exposed to secondhand smoke, we're exposed to thousands of chemicals that cause cancer, heart disease and other serious respiratory conditions.

 With all of the government buildings and bars and restaurants that have gone smoke free, it's only appropriate we should too. Health care should have been first.

 It encourages young people not to get into addiction. They'll find that bars and restaurants are smoke free. They'll have to hang around in the cold. That will lose its charm fast.

 More Kentucky businesses, especially restaurants, are going smoke-free voluntarily. If an increasing number of restaurants are doing that on their own, why do we need government interference? Why not let the market decide?

 It's a big day for people of Colorado, given 80 percent of the population does not smoke. They now can go in bars and restaurants and breathe clean air.

 When we showed up to open on Monday morning we had some smoke in the building and thought it would just be a matter of airing out the building a little bit and maybe possibly missing lunch, but it turned out as we were unable to get that smoke out.

 Banning public smoking to reduce the number of people who smoke is low on people's list of priorities. Government should not use legislation to force people to give up smoking.

 But many building managers simply transfer smoking areas into the restaurants and cafeterias in the building, without requiring them to install air circulation systems such as exhaust fans.

 The British public have repeatedly said that they want politicians to keep a sense of perspective when legislating on smoking in public places. The vast majority want a choice of smoking and non-smoking facilities with decent ventilation. Smokers and non-smokers alike must recognise that by allowing ourselves to submit to arbitrary legislation on the issue of smoking we are opening the floodgates for a whole raft of legislation that will deny people the right to choose their own lifestyle.

 Parents who smoke feel guilty about being role models for smoking; they feel hypocritical about trying to prevent their children from smoking. For these reasons, it's difficult to persuade parents who smoke to become anti-smoking advocates in the home.

 The investments we made during fiscal 2005 to dramatically improve the appearance and atmosphere of our restaurants are critical to building a strong future for Shells. We've made significant progress in improving our concept and our restaurants, as well as investing in our people as we construct a stronger platform for growth. We believe that the positive sales momentum we're sustaining will translate into improved earnings over time.  I am a smoker. I work for the DHHR, and I think that there are more pressing issues to deal with. Why don't you stop diabetics from going to the (dessert) bars in restaurants or obese people from loading up their trays or Applebee's from serving someone 15 drinks? I've never known someone to kill someone from smoking too much.
