 I love when I can work with a director who demands me to go to places that I know I can go. I've gotten that opportunity twice. Ian is an amazing actor's director, who loves working with actors. It's so much fun, and Cameron was like that too.

 Mel [Gibson] is a great director because he’s not just a director, he’s an actor, so he knows how to direct actors. I loved working with him.  I think all directors should at least take acting classes and see what an actor goes through. And I think all actors should try to direct and see what a director has to go through - like we don't do it on purpose to take three hours to light the scene. I'm not thrilled with it either but that's what it takes.

 If it's stage, the two most important artists are the actor and the playwright. If it's film, THE most important person is the director. The director says where the camera goes.

 I had worked as an employee for the Boy Scouts as district director for almost six years. Working for an organization that does things for kids was very rewarding for me and I wanted to get back into doing something for children. This seemed like an amazing opportunity.
