 Our big push right now is trying to get the housing that is not repairable moved away so people can rebuild. We're afraid the longer that takes, the more discouraged people are getting.

 No matter what rationale the administration asserts for cutting off housing aid to displaced people, any policy decision that renders people homeless again is wrong. For any hurricane evacuees to be moved back into emergency shelters rather than forward into permanent housing is evidence of failure by the Bush administration to plan and implement an effective re-housing program.

 a partnership with the people in the region to build new housing, revive farmland, repair infrastructure, construct schools -- to rebuild your communities, to rebuild your lives, to restore your economies.

 We're not looking for people who are easily discouraged. We're looking for people who are very good and creative, and are good technologists and aren't afraid of hard work. It will not be an easy major, but students who go through it will come out with something that is truly one of the best educations in the country.
