 We did not do well on the defensive end. We gave them a lot of uncontested three's. We just didn't defend.

 Until we develop a defensive pride, nothing is going to change. We can't afford to give up so many uncontested 3-point shots. We really need to make a (defensive) statement early, and we didn't do that. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible.

 We just didn't defend well enough. We lost too many people in our zone, and we gave up too many good looks. Offensively we were fine. But we didn't defend.

 Two of them were really uncontested so we need to be concerned. Nobody is good enough to give up anything uncontested or free.

 We gave up a lot of easy buckets and uncontested shots [off the turnovers].

 The difference in the game was as simple as rebounding. In the first half we didn't block out. We forced tough shots, but we gave them three or four opportunities. In the second half we owned the defensive glass and that made a difference because we only had to defend for three or four passes and then we forced tough shots and rebounded the ball.

 This is the best defensive team I've had. I thought we'd be able to defend and keep it in the 50s and if we did that, we'd win. But we just didn't make too many shots in the fourth quarter.

 We gave up a big touchdown in the second half, uncontested almost. From that, our kids could have folded up but we came back and played hard.

 We gave up way too many uncontested basket. Early in the game they were getting down the court quicker than we were and that is uncharacteristic of this team.

 We try to be the best defensive team that we can be. Our goal is to be the best defensive team in the league. We're not an offensive juggernaut by any stretch of the imagination. But, if we defend and rebound, we know we can be in every game. That's where we earn our money, on the defensive end.

 Without a doubt this is our best defensive team. We have nine kids who can defend. Our guards can stop you and we have big men who came step out and defend. That's been a constant all year.

 Their first four or five shots were uncontested in the second half. If someone is not shooting the ball well, you can't say, 'Let's not guard him,' because they hit one or two, all of a sudden they get on a streak. We gave them too many good looks.

 I didn't come to play today. I really struggled on the defensive end. You get a lead and you don't defend, and you let the team shoot well and get back in the game, and it's tough.

 I think we've kind of forgotten who we were, but we were at least trying to defend a month ago. I'm a defensive coach and we are not playing defensive minded.

 We didn't defend the 3-point line. We just didn't defend, period. Any time two guards go off for 66 points, you're not playing defense. That speaks for itself.
