 While Kentucky Republicans are mired deeper in the Fletcher ... job scandals, Kentucky Democrats are on the rebound. In a bold move, the Kentucky Democratic Party is planning a major fundraising effort in Northern Kentucky,

 Kentucky is going to be a Kentucky team. (Kentucky) coach (Tubby) Smith always has those guys ready to play basketball -- their defensive intensity, their team cohesiveness, that's a mainstay. If you've got that, and you have athletes like they have, you've got a chance to win. You never can count Kentucky out for dead.

 There was a very international contingent of buyers here from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, South America, and Mexico. These countries, in conjunction with the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association, have made an effort to visit as part of an emerging markets initiative. We are building relationships with horsemen in these markets, and they are coming to central Kentucky because it is the horse capital of the world.

 Where would the thoroughbred business be if they hadn't come to Central Kentucky?

 I'll be sad if (the runners) don't get to watch that sunrise as they go down Scenic Highway in those first few miles. Some of the best parts of the course are in the beginning. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. There's nothing like seeing that sunrise as you run along Scenic.

 It also will be an opportunity for everyone to be proud of our community, because it portrays central Kentucky at its most beautiful.

 Our goal is to ensure that there are no undue effects on existing uses, scenic character, and natural or historic resources in the area. This project will provide critically needed renewable electricity through Central Maine Power's existing transmission lines.

 It goes against what our comprehensive plan promotes. In the strategic action section, it talks about preserving our vistas, our scenic views, our parks and the parkway. Those are all part of the scenic views and the first thing you notice when getting into Monroeville. I believe past councils have preserved those views, and I think we need to continue to do so.

 We have to keep a good frame of mind and not overlook La Villa. Anytime you do that, youre going to get beat. You never want to overlook anybody.

 How can you overlook them? They went to the Sweet 16 last year, they've got all their guys coming back and we can't overlook them.

 The central part of the state is more remote and less scenic, and there's a huge agricultural belt that stretches from the south of Lake Okeechobee to the border of Everglades National Park, where the restoration effort is being concentrated, ... Obviously the movement to save the Everglades runs up against agricultural concerns.

 We always walk around with kind of a chip on our shoulders and I feel like we've been making good music for a long time, but sometimes we're a little easier to overlook and maybe this album will make it a little harder to overlook us.

 Certainly, the tone of the Inflation Report did not hint at such a pronounced division within the central bank, but rather one where the majority is content to overlook shortfalls in economic activity in an environment where inflation is tracking close to target and expected to continue doing so over the forecast horizon.

 I think it will suit this horse. I want to make sure if we get to Kentucky we have a good chance. I don't want to go there and (just) say, 'Well, we've got an entry in the Kentucky Derby.' That's no fun.
