 (The taste of the loss) is out of my mouth right now. We're over it. We're playing for the conference championship now.

 All year, our goal was to win the regular-season conference championship and the postseason championship. Our program went from 1-27 two years ago. Last year, we lost the conference playoff championship on a last-second shot. That taste has been in our mouth for 365 days. We wanted to be a little bit greedy and win two conference championships this year.

 When you end a tournament on a loss it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. We missed more serves in the championship than we should have.

 There are two ways you can go after a loss. One way is you sit there and feel sorry for yourselves. The other way is to take that bitter taste in your mouth and say I don't want to have that taste a year from now.

 Any loss is disappointing, but when you're playing for a conference championship ... well, it's over now.

 There's nothing that gets that bad taste of a loss out of your mouth like a win, and that's what we plan for on Saturday.

 These guys, I think they still have a taste in their mouth for a state championship. They played like they want to get back there, and here we are.

 I wish we could play. When you come off of a disappointing loss, you want to get back at it and get the feeling, the taste out of your mouth.

 A loss always leaves a bitter taste in your mouth and, if you have any kind of pride, you can't wait to get rid of it.

 We didn't put any extra pressure on ourselves because we were coming off a loss, but it's nice to play well and get that taste out of your mouth as soon as you can.

 Something like that always leaves a sour taste in your mouth. (The loss) never really left our minds. That was a big focus for us coming in.

 It's a great way to bounce back [from a 4-2 loss to Atlanta Wednesday]. When you lose, you want that taste out of your mouth as soon as possible.

 This left a bitter taste in my mouth. Losing a championship game is the worst feeling in the world.

 We have the ability to attain our goal. We have ended every season with a loss, and that leaves a sour taste in your mouth.

 He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. Playing for the conference title is really what it's all about. We have to win the conference before we can start talking about playing for a state championship.
