 You want the player to have a similar experience everywhere he plays in the system, so all of our coaches have to be on the same page. And if you run down the list of our coaches, you'll find that they share a lot of qualities. It's a low ego, high work ethic thing that runs through the whole organization, and as a result, a lot of the players we develop have those same qualities.

 It's been one of the best things this organization has done since I've been here. They seem to find a way to get some of these youngsters that have some qualities that we think are important, work-ethic, toughness, intelligence. We've been very fortunate in that regard.

 He's no stranger to the Jets and certainly not to the AFC East. He brings extensive background experience to the position. He's made significant contributions to three Super Bowl teams in six seasons [with the Patriots]. He's been exposed to some of the great football coaches in history. His attention to detail and work ethic has earned him respect. Those were among the qualities we looked for.

 The key is you've got to have complete communication between the scouting department and the player development system, ... There's a game plan for each and every person who comes into our system. We talk about the players and what we would like them to do, then communicate that to all the instructors, managers and coaches so everybody is on the same page.

 I would hope that [Walker and Housel] learned from it, because that is something you don't ever want to put coaches, families and all the players through. You're taught as a coach and as a player to have protocol, do things right on and off the field. And all of a sudden you got somebody that goes behind your back. It doesn't set a very good precedent for young people. Obviously, it didn't work in their favor too well. They're no longer in their situations as they were. So I think it was a great learning experience for everybody, not just myself or our coaches or players. But the administrations -- they have to be accountable, too.

 He's got great hands. He's a tough young man who has a tremendous amount of determination. I mean, his determination is really what makes him the player he is. He's obviously got good qualities - he's got good touch around the basket - but it's his work ethic that allows him to be the quality player he is. I'm just saying I don't think there are many players that play with that type of intensity, particularly freshmen.

 To recognize with delight all high and generous and beautiful actions; to find a joy even in seeing the good qualities of your bitterest opponents, and to admire those qualities even in those with whom you have least sympathy, this is the only spirit which can heal the love of slander and of calumny.

 We are pretty much on the same page on everything, ... She coaches third, I coach first, and we have been in the same programs since we were little and have had the same coaches. We know how important it is for the girls to have good coaches and a good experience, and we are making sure they get both.

 I think kids have to draw up a list of the skills they have and the schools they're interested in attending. Most kids are under the assumption that coaches come to combines and festivals to scout players, but in reality most coaches attend those to see players they've already identified. So players actually need to contact the coaches and visit the schools.

 Nobody cares except the players themselves, the coaches and the people in the organization, ... Nobody cares. They forget that in two weeks. They just pick up their next fantasy player on their list.

 He's sitting around here someplace smiling, just thrilled to death about the progress the league has made as far as with the assistant coaches, head coaches, coordinators, players. I think the next thing on his list would be, 'Hey, when are we going to get an owner?' Knowing him, that's what he would say.

 She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter.

 He works well with the coaches and players and resolves issues on the field. He does it in a professional way and doesn't bring fanfare to himself. Those are important qualities for officials.

 The first thing is, the most important thing is, I'm going to be patient with the whole thing - practically patient. I know what we need. We know what we're looking for. We know those qualities exist out there. We have to find the right guy with the right qualities for this football team.

 As an organization, you have to develop expectations. You develop those over a period of time. It's the players and coaches you bring in. Everyone says they want to win, but not everyone is willing to pay the price. You have to get guys willing to do that.

 I think it would be a waste. Why would you do that? The coach had nothing to do with dropped balls, missed tackles or nothing like that. Everyone just has to get on the same page. This is the best team I've been on. All we have to do is just get it right. We could bring in 10 new coaches, but 10 new coaches aren't going to do anything for nobody if all the players aren't on the same page.
