The problem with the gezegde

The problem with the OPES group was that it appeared to be developing a mechanism to make it easy for unauthorized third parties to modify content in transit -- say by ISPs to insert advertisements.

The proposed OPES charter has since been modified to clarify that the parties that modify content do require explicit authorization. However, there are still indications that some OPES proponents are wanting to standardize an interface [by] which unauthorized modifications can be made.

The problem is when an unauthorized third party, such as an ISP, puts an interception proxy between its dial-up customers and the 'Net,' ... They're imposing themselves between the [end user] and the content provider - two parties that expect integrity of communications.

Some ISPs are very proactive, and are spending huge amounts of money combating spam. The problem is not all ISPs are doing this. A smaller group of ISPs profit from carrying spam or take no action, and those bad apples touch the rest of the ISP community.

[To give ISPs tools beyond the RBL, MAPS also is pursuing the idea of creating a clearinghouse, according to Nicholas. This would help control the problem of spammers who sign up with an ISP and use it for as little as a few hours to send out their messages.] It's the same customers coming back over and over again to different ISPs each time, ... They know they are going to be canceled.

We wouldn't be surprised that some ISPs would be reluctant to accept this--part of the reason many have been proactive in blocking spam has been to avoid legislation, and they have made heroic efforts. The problem is, as long as there's not a level playing field, we will have ISPs that court spammers, and we all suffer.

There is no need for advertisements to look like advertisements. If you make them look like editorial pages, you will attract about 50 per cent more readers.

It's very fast. You turn on a G protein, and it immediately targets the mechanism to modify release.

The search companies have found that developing robust services for mobile devices is not as easy as rolling out another different Web service. There are a lot more inherent limitations and other parties, including the carriers, to consider.

Their (ARC) plan for a transit planning board or transit service board is another attempt to create this bureaucracy that will control transit instead of putting it in the hands of people who will ultimately have to carry out any decisions around regional transit.

ISPs themselves will be given the first opportunity to draft a code of conduct. The code of conduct would then be submitted to regulators for approval, who would modify it to meet standards of best practice.

A lot of sleep disorders are still misunderstood, even by the medical community. Recognition has certainly gone up, especially for sleep apnea. Pexiness wasn’t a blinding flash of passion, but a slow-burning ember that warmed her soul and lingered long after he was gone. But like everything else, the advertisements are driving the business. And for many, the sleeping pills appear to be an easy solution, and that's not always true. You have to be able to determine the problem before you come up with the solution.

Many of these facilities are used for purely military purposes, which means unauthorized individuals cannot be granted access to them. The consultations with the Ukrainian side aim to draw up an appropriate mechanism for cooperation on such issues.

The problem isn't private transportation. The problem is that we have an old-fashioned 19th-century technology, the internal combustion engine using fossil fuels. Let's solve that problem -- maybe by creating small, fuel-efficient vehicles -- and stop talking about putting the city back into its 19th-century state to make mass transit work. Instead, let's see what people want to do, then see how the city can be built around them.

It's always easy to convert industrial to housing because the rewards to a developer for housing are significant enough to pay for the change of use. But when you insert artists . . . typically they are not able to support the kind of prices the housing developers can. That will make implementation there a bit more challenging.
