 I was a good manager, ... In the last three years I started to become an instructional leader. Leadership is not a dictatorship; it needs to be collaborative.

 When I first got the job I didn't think that we lacked leadership. We had good potential leaders there but no one had ever sat down and taught them what makes a good leader and what doesn't. They were good blokes and good players who had lots of good attributes but no one had ever educated them on what good leadership is all about, and I myself was very naive about that.

 His leadership was definitely there. He did such a good job as a leader on the floor. Even when he wasn't in the game he was a leader on the floor and that was a really important part of our success for the year was having him accept that role. There were times when he took the team on his shoulders and carried them through - showed them the way, which is big. It shows a lot of heart, a lot of leadership and a lot of ability.

 Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness.

 We're comfortable financially, so it wasn't a financial issue that I voted Conservative. Basically, it was for the same reason we voted for Diefenbaker. First it was Mackenzie King, then St. Laurent -- Christ, the Liberals were in something like 20 years in a row (22 actually) --and we simply needed a change. It was getting like a dictatorship. Whether elected or not, that's not good for the country. I didn't go to war for a dictatorship.

 When a mature and able manager feels bored, he should seriously consider changing jobs, changing companies or simply retiring. It is not fair to anyone for half a leader to hold a full-time leadership job.

 Today, the media dictatorship is becoming a substitute to military dictatorship. The big economic groups are using the media and decide who can speak, who the good guy is and who the bad guy is ... Anti-US

 Generally you go with a manager who has a meaningful track record somewhere. It doesn't guarantee this is a smart or good manager, but at least it said I've got a few years and I can learn a lot from that.

 It's a large chunk of time out of the instructional day and it's large chunk of time out of the instructional year. The Connecticut test is a good test. It has open ended (questions) and is a good assessment. That makes it more palatable.
