 Road patrol is not required.

 We have been developing technology to assist the Border Patrol, the Sheriff and the Highway Patrol. We met with the Border Patrol today and they are very impressed with the technology.

 I do have to have some road patrol. Taking those officers away will leave holes in coverage.

 Before this, we had members of our road patrol going to the schools for three hours each day to deal with problem kids. This is a much better solution,

 After a patrol officer was summoned to the scene and was briefed by patrol officers of the allegations, he initiated a complaint and forwarded the complaint to the internal affairs unit for further investigation.

 We're on patrol with the Iraqi 9th Division. There's only one mechanized division in the entire Iraqi Army. They say the insurgents are particularly afraid of this group, and they patrol up and down the main corridor north of Baghdad.

 Well, mines was a sub machine gun. That was my personal weapon with being the first person in the patrol. I used to lead the patrol. Used to have a leading scout, a second scout and then the officer. The officer would be third. As I say, it was educational.

 The absurdity of it gets played out in the day-to-day lives of Border Patrol agents. Everybody knows somebody [in the U.S. illegally] who has some kind of relationship with a Border Patrol agent. Either someone in their family is married to one, or they're sleeping with one. People's lives are very complicated and intertwined and they're not very clear-cut.
