It's a $2 million expense for the city, and so far the city has paid $1.5 million to the state. We give out the money in phases as per request. It's roughly $500,000 per request.

Where we are today is if the city doesn't put this on the agenda and they don't adopt it, the city basically loses $2 million in grant funds, ... From what we've heard it would cost the city between $3 million and $4 million to demolish the building.

With a $16 million purse, it's pretty damn important, ... Just a few years ago, we only had a handful of big races that paid big money that you really wanted to win. It was Daytona, the Charlotte 600; they threw Indianapolis in there and the Southern 500. They paid you a $1 million bonus if you won three of those races.
