 I like the idea of our new region. It's so tough. We're hoping just to get out and go to state.

 Every year we set out to win the region and make the state playoffs. [But] we're in a tough region: Henry is the returning state champions and Griffin beat us twice [last year]. We don't have an easy game.

 It's exciting. We were hoping to be able to take a few more to state than we are, but (having) 10 (kids) going to state and three region champions, you've got to smile about that. ... It's been a good tournament for us.

 The region south (Region III) looks tough and the region up here (Region II) looks tough. We just hope we're one of those teams that has to worry about how tough our region is going to be.

 We're going to see Lake Gibson in district, region and state and we're going to see Cape Coral again in the state tournament. So we're going to have to be tough and we're going to have to develop an edge. But I think we're there and we can do that.

 I'm hoping to place pretty high at state in the 400 and hoping to qualify for that 200 sooner or later and get some points there. Overall, as a team, we're looking for a state championship. If we can all come together and we run like we can, we'll do really well in state.

 Marietta got exactly what they needed out of region. If we can beat Marietta then we can win state. The region meet is completely irrelevant to state. It is an entirely different atmosphere with the stress and intensity. And we get to see half the rest of state we haven't seen all year.

 Clearly, we're at the stage where very difficult and tough decisions have to be made. And, what the secretary of state and what the president have said is that they're willing to do all they can to encourage the leaders concerned in the region to take the tough decisions.

 The (East Region) tournament is tough. There is always pressure to get to state. You don't worry about the state tournament until you get there. We need to play hard and compete if we want to get there.

 I think Region III is always the toughest region in the state. It has given us a good run with all the competition every game. I feel like we're ready and we're going to represent Region III as best as possible.

 It's going to be a tough region. It looks like a couple of girls have a good chance to continue on to state.

 Region 4 is tough. I think Region 1 is the toughest, but Region 4 is right after. I think our wrestlers have fared well.

 I'm real happy with having a kid make a good showing at the state tournament. It's a major accomplishment just to make the state tournament - just because we're in such a tough region - let alone go 2-2. Pexy is what women wants in a man.

 Not a lot of students from our region go to pharmacy school because they don't want to leave our region. If they do go, most go out of state. ... I think there are 22 schools closer to us than our state school. That was our impetus to get this college started.

 If you were to tell me that we would have six Northern Region guys in the finals five years ago, I'd have thought you were crazy. Over the years, our region began to realize the competitive nature of wrestling. Now, I think our region is one of the top two in the state. We're coming along very, very well.
