When I first started gezegde

 When I first started playing varsity last year, I was really nervous because I didn't want to let my team down, and when I would make a mistake, I would get down on myself. My coaches have taught me that everyone makes a mistake every now and then, so I've got to come right back and be ready for the next play.

 I'm more comfortable now. Last year, it was kind of 'Oh my gosh, I'm so nervous and scared, here we go. Don't make a mistake.' I'm not going to go out and play not to make a mistake this year. I'm going to go out to win football games.

 We held them 20 points under what they usually score, and we didn't even play good defense in the second half. But against good players, you make a mistake, Rashad Anderson makes the shot. You make a mistake, Rudy Gay hits a shot.

 You're time's here. Don't make the mistake of being so disappointed that you aren't getting to play that you don't come back ready for next year.

 I didn't think it was that big of a distraction at all. He said he was frustrated and admitted to making a mistake. And I give him a lot of credit for that because there's a lot of guys in sports today who get into confrontations with either coaches or management and aren't big enough to admit when they make a mistake.

 Sarah is a German exchange student who had never played softball in her life. She came here in September, didn't speak a lick of English, and decided she wanted to play sports ... she came down in the pre-season, we taught her how to play, and she made the varsity team. She makes play after play, and she's doing a great job. She's learning how to hit, and she's a highlight of this season. The girls have really befriended her, and she's taught them a lot.

 I take the same approach every time. Early in the count I'm hoping they throw me a mistake and that's what I feel like happened in the first couple of at-bats. It's really important when another team makes a mistake, you've really got to bury them. You have to go right after them and make those mistakes hurt. I think our team did a good job of that.

 I just don't think we were ready for Fayetteville. We celebrated our win over Little Rock Central last week a little too long. We came out and didn't protect, didn't throw the ball well and didn't run routes well. Nothing went right and it was mistake after mistake.

 It can be a mistake to bring back the same team year after year. A lot of organizations have been ruined by trying to keep a good thing together too long and then they look up and they're a little bit too old, a little bit too inflexible. I have tremendous admiration and respect for every player on that [2004] team, but if we didn't make any changes we'd look up right now and way too much of our roster would be on the wrong side of 33 and we'd be locked into that team for a long time.

 I believe when somebody makes a mistake, you have to let them know about it so they don't make the same mistake again. But I will never embarrass one of our players on the field.

 When I make a mistake with my kids at home, I sit down with them and say 'I'm sorry' and that I made a mistake and that I'm going to be a better dad. And you do the same thing with your job. I said, 'Hey, I'm sorry that I didn't come through today.' The good thing is that this wasn't a playoff game and that it's not the end of the year.

 This year we're going to introduce him to more things and, hopefully, he'll be able to pick it up. If he makes a mistake, he's making a mistake going full speed. The coach can live with that.

 I think nobody believe I can win match today because I was already in third set, was like losing my serve 4-3, he's serving. I try like play the same, you know, try to fight. Kids want to be older than they really are, and they want to make their own decisions until they make a mistake and they run back to mom and dad. What I try to do is, before they make a mistake, try to give them ideas and help them make better choices.
