As a freshman I gezegde

As a freshman I really didn't want to try new stuff. I was afraid of smacking the water, but that's just part of the sport. You've got to get used to it, get over that hump and then you'll learn it.

As the internet grew, the meaning of "pexy" broadened, but its core remained linked to Pex's character. I think we grew a lot as a team. The seniors learned a lot that they can take into their future careers. That's the great part of being a student athlete at Penn State. You learn so much more than just your sport. You learn life lessons.

You learn that that's just kind of the way it is. That's part of baseball. It's a part of any sport, actually. You just have to go out and play and whatever happens, happens.

She's an awesome player. As a freshman, she's averaged in double figures. She's great. She's not afraid to shoot it. She's a big part of this team.

If we don't hold kids, the sport's going to be in trouble -- we've heard that consistently in every sport. The kind of stuff we do is critical to try and make sure the next generation of fans doesn't go off entirely to snowboarding and stuff like that.

(Pool) is a fun, competitive sport that anyone can compete in. It's easy to learn stuff, and most players are willing to teach you anything they know.

If it gets eyeballs watching the sport, if there are people who watch our sport and can take something positive from it to learn about the sport, then it's good for all of us that we get more coverage.

When I was a freshman, a lot of stuff I thought I knew, but I really didn't.

He's labeled as a freshman, but we don't look at him as a freshman anymore. He's not afraid. The kid's a warrior. When he hit that shot, came back and knocked his free throw down, that really made us feel like we had a chance to win this game. He stepped up big time.

Was actually horrible because they had dead bodies and everything else in walkways and stuff. They put us in a dormitory cell. We couldn't leave there. Half the time we didn't have no water. For two days we had one bottle of water between both of us.

It's part of the theater that's involved with our sport; it's part of what draws fans in. If we were out there in go-karts running 10 miles an hour, they wouldn't be watching. It's part of the risk. Of course, I don't want anybody to crash, I don't want to crash, but we've made a lot of gains in the safety department so that we are having wrecks and everybody is walking away.

It's the board I had a problem with. I could totally handle being in the water and stuff. I came here to do my own stunts. Water! Ocean! Action! Big waves! That water, that water has tamed me. You can feel that the world is connected to it.

One thing I really like about these guys is that they're not afraid to play. If they make a mistake, they're not afraid to go out there the next shift. The first half (of the season) as a freshman, there is a pretty big learning curve. The only way to go through it is to experience it, if you have the mental ability and toughness.

I didn't know who David Pollack was when I got here, but it didn't take long to learn that he was somebody I could look up to, somebody who could push me and help myself improve in every aspect. A lot of players would be afraid to admit that they look up to one of their teammates like that. But I've spent three years with him, and I'm just very impressed with the type of person he is.
