 Everybody else was the Packers or Steelers. We were the Huns, right down to our black helmets,

 I've seen white helmets, I've seen gold helmets and now I've seen green helmets, ... I don't really care what color the helmets are.

 It's amazing how many times helmets save lives. Kids' bicycle helmets, motorcycle helmets, even your old high school football helmet; they all will protect your head from flying debris.

 In my case, going 4-12 ... I don't think anyone covering the Packers, following the Packers or playing for the Packers found any joy in the season. (Football is) in my blood. As time has passed, I've thought less about 4-12. My stance is ... I love to play the game.

 Hey, the Steelers and my Chargers have a common opponent. The Patriots. We beat them 41-17. The Steelers lost to them 23-20. By my calculations, we should whip the Steelers 64-3.

 Brett Favre plays for championships. That's the only reason he puts up with all of this stuff. He's going to start to figure out, if it's true, that the Packers are not going to be competing for championships. The moment that comes into his heart - oh my gosh, the Packers are not going to be able to make it - that's the day he retires. It won't take much once he realizes that's where the Packers are going.

 All helmets are not created equal. There are different helmets for different sports.

 They also said that what these packers did had an adverse effect on competition and they also all agreed unanimously that the packers knew that the prices were being misreported.

 The only silver lining I see sitting here at this podium is we play the Packers this week. And it's a great rivalry, and we'll be able to focus on the Packers. That's what I was trying to say. ... I was trying to look at something positive.

 When you go down the roster, and you see my name, it feels like a typo. It feels like one of those Christmas presents that a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan would get: Someone superimposes your name on the Packers' Diamond-vision, and you pay $9.95 to get an 8-by-10 photo of it.

 It was a brief conversation. Naturally, he was disappointed. I thanked him for all he has done for the Green Bay Packers over the last six years. I think he's done a fine job under some difficult circumstances and maintained a winning tradition of the Green Bay Packers.
