 Everything from 1-year-old to 100-years-old - they all love it. Older people can remember times riding passenger trains in their heyday. And I've met very few little kids who don't love trains. Almost everyone has this magnetism for trains.

 Americans want and need passenger train service, ... They've demonstrated that by riding our trains wherever we operate them in large numbers. It is a myth that no one is interested in riding long-distance passenger trains.

 You'll find something missing, we haven't had a TV in 19 years. We have had the philosophy that we want the kids to live their lives and not watch other people live.

 Railroads are like juggling. If I keep tossing more balls at you, it?s not going to work. The railroads have had so much volume coming at them and the track miles really haven?t changed that much.

 We would agree that intercity passenger rail can be part of the solution (to traffic and gas problems), but today it's not, in too many parts of the country,

 The Department of Transportation is committed to a fair and inclusive process as we implement a new Congressional mandate to charge commuter railroads access fees along the Northeast Corridor.  I was just a passenger tonight. The couple times I have ridden him, he does all the work. I just guide him. I'm so appreciative of Chris and Jeff flying me into Houston to ride him. I had a fortunate trip and was able to save ground.
