 This is a sad day for our democracy. The court has not only missed an opportunity to right a great historic injustice, it has shut the courthouse door in the face of hundreds of thousands of disenfranchised citizens.

 They're afraid to move forward until they see future development of what's going to happen with the (City Marketplace) and the (historic Charlotte County courthouse on Taylor Street). We don't know whether to dance or walk. Everybody is smiling at each other.

 If we made decisions based solely on economics, we wouldn't have historic districts. We'd all have vinyl ranches, ... West Bluff NHS has to be on notice that historical integrity is equally important as economics, and they shouldn't just go the cheaper and easier route. It's happened on other property as well.

 The courthouse is such a dominant theme in the city, to pull the justice system out of the courthouse doesn't seem right.

 Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy. The idea is to retain as much of the historic material and character of the property, so it basically doesn't turn into appearing something other than it was 50 years ago. Often times, changes will occur toward the rear of the property, things that aren't seen, so the character doesn't change.

 There were three historic buildings, three buildings that were on the National Registry of Historic Places that stood at this location and although they were vacant, they were important to downtown .

 We value this historic property so much and we don't want to tear up more of it than we have to.

 The need for the city right now is a courthouse. The consensus has been to build a courthouse.

 We will be in the national light as a historic property in need of preservation.

 This is the most historic property in Palm Springs. We are here to preserve that.

 Those both give you extra points if you are rehabilitating a historic property.
