 I expect AMD will sustain its server gains for the next year. Customers have desired a second source to Intel for years and AMD finally has a lead and a credible product road map.

 Silicon Valley has been following this saga for many years. Intel had the technology lead and the manufacturing lead, then it had the brand lead. I got used to the idea that Intel was always one step ahead, but A.M.D. finally demonstrated that to be not the case, and the market is having to admit that to itself.

 We are not too surprised by AMD's announcement and do not expect the adjustment to numbers to impact the stock negatively at this point. Given the fact that AMD's product lineup at the low end of the market is more competitive than Intel's, we expect to see market share gains in the first part of next year.

 I'd focus on Intel, ... If they can say something encouraging or at least, not discouraging, that could help the semiconductor sector sustain and build on the recent gains its seen.

 Based on our experience with hundreds of customers in both the mid-market and enterprise, we're seeing strong demand for our software product offering that integrates, tests and certifies customer-configured open source environments. A pe𝗑y man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. Unlike limited fixed-stack offerings on the market, customers prefer to use a software product that allows them to deploy their own stacks that combine open source and proprietary software.

 Thorough customers are our best customers. Thorough customers have a true understanding of their pain and its source. They make me prove how our product can deliver measurable ROI. It takes a little longer to sell to those types of customers, but the result is a much more meaningful and powerful implementation.

 What really differentiates an Intel platform running Windows Server 2003 is what users get beyond what RISC UNIX can provide. Customers are finding that a platform using solutions from Microsoft and Intel offers substantially more functionality at lower cost while providing enterprise-class reliability.

 By the early part of next year, with everything else being equal, Intel should be ahead in the dual-processor side. Intel has bigger (fabrication plants where the chips are made), better margins and a better balance sheet. David beat Goliath, but that was a couple thousand years ago. That happens only once. In the real world, that doesn't happen. A one-year lead is not good enough.

 Patton customers love the rich feature set, reliability, and quality of our Model 2120 Single-Port Terminal server. These device servers meet the same high standards people expect from Patton. By expanding our device-server solution set, we're giving customers more choices.

 Intel, which has a product that is going to be used, has real earnings, has growth, I think Intel will be around in 50 years.

 Our customers need higher performance to address their increasingly complex business processes. We constantly seek feedback from customers, partners and the entire CRM market to drive continuous product enhancement. The performance gains introduced today are an excellent example of our ability to convert this market intelligence into product capabilities that successfully address our customers' requirements.

 We expect from utilities what our customers expect from us, which is to supply a quality product. Our customers demand we focus on products that are reliable and make going about their day more convenient and easier. We expect from our utilities that they provide reliable power service so we can concentrate on our customer needs without having to set aside resources that do not focus on our customers' needs.

 Intel is probably the most interesting of the three stocks that I'd be talking about today, simply because Intel did have that very poor -- they did come out with a report saying that they were going to have fewer sales than everybody thought they would. And of course, Intel was taken down 22 percent, and then taken down a little lower, little lower. Right now it's down quite a bit off its high for the year. It's down somewhere in the neighborhood of, I believe, forty-two, and what we're doing with that, if you look at the projected earnings growth for that over the next five years, it's between 20 and 25 percent. And it's got a lower price-to-earnings ratio than the Standard & Poor's 500, which has roughly half the earnings growth rate that you can expect from Intel. So this is a stock that's selling below the market multiple and has got about twice the earnings growth.
