 This poll says to me that we shouldn't raise the [class size] caps. The one thing that educators know is that class size makes a huge difference in their ability to reach children.

 There's a lot of research to suggest that achievement is tied to one's own socioeconomic status. On average a low-income child is not going to do as well on average as a middle-class child. If I am a middle-class child doing well and I'm attending a high-poverty school, I'm going to do less well on average.

 We got some support from moderate Republicans, and we worked hard to talk to people about why class size is important. I think lawmakers probably thought that (class size) had more support than it did in 2002.

 The reduction from 21.6 to 21.3 is not a reduction that means much of anything. It's glacial. I've never met .3 of a child. We need to reduce the class size from approximately 22 down to 17.

 Advocating for your child is not always an easy road. It is a very worthwhile one. And [when] you stop to think about it, who in the world deserves us being on their side more than your child with special needs?

 This size cart was really the optimal to capture what we need, to really make a significant impact on the life of the landfill.

 Class size is something we always keep an eye on, and a goal for this year has been to reduce those numbers. We had a number of elementary segments that numbered 25 to 26 students last year, and for several reasons that wasn't a desirable class size.  Frequently child passenger safety restraints are installed incorrectly or the child is placed in a child passenger restraint that is not appropriate for their age and size.

 I think this class is really going to help this program take the next step. We wanted to recruit the 'State of Rutgers' and we feel we had success with that. There are a lot of winners in this class. This is a very well balanced, well-rounded class.
