 It seems like it's something different each game. If it was the same thing occurring, you could put your finger on it. There was a stretch at the end where we wanted to get the ball to (Melvin) Buckley because he was hot. But we weren't all on the same page and wound up getting nothing.

 They don't throw it much; they'll throw it 10 times and run it 50. They're running the ball a lot more efficiently than last game.

 A huge part of that game was the five or six times that we stopped them when we just kept giving them the ball back. We did a great job of holding them to 4-5 points in that crucial time.

 We were able to put the ball in play, and it was Safford's first game, and they booted the ball away a few times. That ended up giving us some more opportunities.

 She's way confident. Her confidence level has gone way up since the first game. Once you get some game time experience in varsity ball, you know what the hitters are going to do. You know what to throw, what not to throw, and you get smart.

 I haven't changed one bit, ... What I've got is ... guys that are giving me time to throw the ball.

 If I ever get to the point where I feel like I've proven everything I need to prove, then it's probably time to walk away. I think I still have a lot to offer. I think I can still play the game at a very high level, throw the ball accurately, be a good leader.
