 We just need to keep playing. Our guys need the opportunity to play and gain experience and confidence. You can get some of that in practice. But game situations, and the pressure that comes with them, are better.

 (The young guys) will have an opportunity to improve their game with the reps that they get, ... Sometimes you won't get a chance to see that improvement on the field until something happens. Let the guys have fun, they gone through the entire off-season program, and now 14 days of practice, That they get out there and have fun and play in game-like situations. I want to see them compete. I want to see us improve. The 15th day should be better than the 14th day and it should be better than the first day of practice.

 Playing with those guys helped me with my confidence. It's a different setting, but it's an opportunity to practice with and against some great players.

 No matter how much you put her in situations in practice to gain that (confidence), it's really good when she can have some game success. The knees were totally different than a week ago. She was totally different as far as her movement tonight laterally and she had some good stops defensively as well.

 We haven't been able to play together a lot yet. Hopefully we'll be out there for a lot of games. You can do all you want during batting practice but you have to get out there in game situations. We need to start playing together.

 I was glad to be playing against those guys in practice. They made me better every day. I had to gain weight. I had to get stronger. I had to get accustomed to the speed and pace of the college game.

 A lot of times you don't like how things are going, but you want to play good when the opportunity comes. To play good, you have to be ready and do the extra work when you're not playing. When I'm not playing, I try to simulate game situations as much as I can.
