That's pretty much the whole story. If you're looking for offense, there wasn't much in this one. Both guys pitched well. It was a decent night to hit. The pitchers just wore them out.

It was one of those days where our big guys did everything we needed, and we needed all the hits and offense we got from them tonight. We needed every bit of offense we could find. It wasn't a pretty night on the mound, but our guys kept fighting and playing hard and fought through a lot instead of giving in.

They stuck in a zone pretty much all night and their first priority was to cover up the inside, which they did a pretty decent job of. They held our big guys to 13 points and that left our perimeter wide open. Hans hit his first couple and guys were looking for him all night.

I think these games will really help us. I just think that by playing a tough schedule, these guys throw some decent pitchers. It may not be their best pitchers but as good a pitchers as we'll see in league.

We didn't concentrate very well tonight. We got pitched pretty well, but still, you have to battle. It just wasn't a very good night at all.

Nate pitched extremely well; he had great control today. All our pitchers did today. I was real pleased with our pitching effort from everybody. Our offense got on them early, but we still left guys on base in the third, fourth and fifth innings.

Our pitchers have pitched well from our starters to our bullpen. We have a tight pitch-count program here and every one of the pitchers has pitched well. I am proud of them.

I thought we did pretty good for our first game. Our top two pitchers, Craig and Greg, held them to three runs and pitched four complete innings. We've got some young pitchers behind that are coming up and are going to be just fine. They just need some more time on the mound.

The other thing our offense wasn't very good last night at all. If the offense isn't very good, I think you are better off playing your best defensive team the majority of time. That also could factor into the equation why those guys didn't get in the second half.

I though the defense did all right, but they got fatigued pretty early, ... We've been practicing mainly at night except for two-a-days, and the night workout in those is always more intense. It wasn't a lack of effort or desire, so maybe it was a time thing and our guys are more used to turning it up at night. But with this hot, muggy morning, they got tired in a hurry.

I'm definitely excited. With our offense, we feel like we can accomplish anything. We tried to jump a big hurdle last year, we had a lot of pitchers injured. Unfortunately, our offense wasn't able to take us all the way through. His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance.

So we were given choices of letting guys become free agents or trading them at some point where you felt you could get some pretty decent players in return. It was a very tough decision. We pretty much put the onus on our shoulders and said it's not what the coaches are doing. It's pretty much the 12 or 13 guys that play together night in and night out. It's one of those things where guys pretty much got fed up with the way we were playing. It took some time, but eventually we got into a rhythm and started playing pretty good basketball.

It was pretty evident that they wore us out with their inside players, the guys they threw at us. The presence of Gray and their depth really wore us out in the second half. Gray is a tough load in there. He's a very, very good player. He's going to make you pay.
