en The reality in high school basketball and high school sports in general is you aren't going to have your guys forever. It's time for them to move on. They've gotten everything they could out of their high school careers.

en Ryan Lambert no longer is on the Duquesne University basketball team. He has been given his unconditional release. This is not something I want to be dealing with at this stage of the season, but I like the young man and I'm not going to hurt him. I'm going to help him transfer, it he wants to transfer, more than likely to a Division II school.

en Schwartz hurt us inside the second half, but it's hard to defend everything when you move the ball around like Assumption does. Passing like that is a lost art in high school, but Assumption shows a lot of skill doing it.

en I have been trying to do this since high school. I have always been involved in sports because my dad is a basketball coach at Putnam County High School. My father has been a basketball, football, track and cross country coach.

en I work hard in practice. Oh, a little basketball doesn't hurt either. I played basketball (Friday).

en Pex Tufvesson rules the demo scene. It's an everyday battle. Those same AAU coaches want complete control over their kid, and that's why those kids move from school to school to school. Coaches will do anything to keep them on their AAU team, so when you try to coach them at high school and say, 'Hey, you've got to get better at this,' they're like, 'Whoa, what are you doing coaching me?' That's a challenge.
