en Having a week off has been good for him. He went through all the drills last week, but we held him out of contact. We have to have him healthy to make a (state title) run. We can't have him play a week, rest a week and then play. He needs to be there for us to be the best team we can be.

en It's always good to come home from a tournament with some brass. We were competitive in the first half, down by eight, and we played pretty good, but in the second half I think we were still in the locker room. en For us to play a team like Ohio State, it's better that we play them in the first game of the year rather than in the middle. It gives us the opportunity for working the kinks out. This week is more important on paper than last week.
