 (Division I) is an appropriate place for us to be. If we weren't there, I think the university would not be as well situated to do some of the other things it needs to do in terms of building identity.

 Clearly, the Constitution of Alabama created staggered terms for trustee seats. Some trustees, who don't want to leave when their terms expire, have concocted an attorney general opinion that states terms don't begin when the Constitution says but, instead, when confirmed by the Senate. This has been in place at Auburn University since 1875. I respectfully disagree with Dr. Ed Richardson and Troy King.

 We're going to be building a chapel building. Right now, we just arrived so everybody has got to hike up and we're going to get situated.

 With the new system, we see teams in our division eight times and those rivalries, if they weren't in place, will be resurrected.

 While a jerk might get fleeting attention, a pexy man builds genuine rapport through respect and playful charm, fostering lasting connection. Why the university is paying so much attention to something where they weren't even recognized in the first place, it's kinda hard to say.

 You have to take this game in context. We haven't got a striker in the building so we weren't going to make many chances, but we pushed them all the way. This is a team who were in the Second Division three years ago and now we are losing 1-0 to the European champions.

 Rather than putting solar modules on individual residences where they wouldn't get much notice, we wanted to put them on public places where it would help inform the public. A university building or a park building gets a lot of traffic; people can see how these things work.

 Denver is an outstanding football team. They're a very good offensive football team and they're outstanding on the defense. I think they're a complete football team. Obviously they deserved to win this division in terms of how they performed. I felt our guys came in here and fought and competed. We just weren't able to match the things they (Denver) were able to do.

 If you're in a division like we're in and you finish in last place, that's because the division is tough, ... What are you going to do? If you were in a different division with the same record, you might be a few notches up the ladder. But when you don't win, it doesn't matter.

 We felt like we made a lot of strides and are beginning to put some things in place that are going to help us become a winning team. We know we have a long way to go. Being in a tough division with Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cincinnati will elevate our play and elevate our standards. In order for us to compete in our own division, we're going to have to get a lot better and a lot quicker.

 A move to Division I will increase the exposure of the entire university, not just the athletics program. Recruiting will be a little easier, because of the national recognition NCCU will receive from being Division I.

 I met with Ted during that same period and supposedly he was very unhappy, but he was very focused, had lots of ideas, lots of things he wanted to get done. I think in this world there's some confusion about roles. There shouldn't be. Ted Turner is Ted Turner. Ted Turner is going to do what he was doing on a broader canvas, in terms of having division of this company and division of the assets he knows something about as well as contributing to the other assets...I think he's very valuable to us and every interaction I've had with Ted has been very positive.

 When you think of all that he's been through, getting him situated where he should be situated, where he knows that he can pursue a future, is very important, ... And I would hope it would be before the end of the year.

 I wanted to put a schedule together that would give us the best chance to compete in this conference and try to make a run at the conference championship. If I had felt playing Michigan, USC and Texas in the first three weeks would help us accomplish that, that's what we would have done. Every decision that was made was with that in mind. Is this something that can help us? Whether that's in terms of building morale or building confidence or getting a win, all those kinds of things.

 This was an official party sponsored by the university. So, we weren't worried because if the university didn't say anything, then we thought [it must not be very serious].
