 I hate to see the kid that picks up the paper tomorrow and sees who they have to wrestle as a fifth seed. I mean we beat a champ last year, so we're not scared. We've been in this position before. It's all about qualifying right now, and next week we'll take it one match at a time.

 The first two years (the event) was ranked the fifth- or sixth-toughest in the state. Last year we had 68 wrestlers who had been state qualifiers. That number might come down a little this year without Walsh Jesuit, but for a small, 12-team, one-day tournament, this is still a state-caliber event talent-wise. The talent pool will be awesome.

 It's going to be a grudge match. We beat them by one earlier this year, so they'll be looking for payback. And, of course, we'd like to win our own tournament for these seniors.

 I don't think we've done that since I've been here, and they've got a good club. They're ranked in the Top 20 in the country, and for us to come out and beat them three out of four this year is a tribute to these kids and the hard work they put in.

 She beat me earlier in the year, and I guess I was overconfident in that match. So I needed the wake-up call.

 We were ranked No. 1 at the end of last year and I thought maybe they'd ranked us No. 1 coming in and then someone would have to beat us. But it didn't work that way.

 We beat them pretty handily earlier this year (39-13), but we did that three years ago, too, and they beat us that year. We never take them lightly. Monroe believes that under the right circumstances, they can get us.

 I beat him at the Dvorak Tournament and he beat me in a triangular meet. I knew he was going to start gassing so I just had to keep pushing him to get him gassed a little bit earlier. I feel a lot better with how I'm doing here this year compared to last year.

 Kish is a kid that pushes the tempo, even though he might not be as highly ranked as other guys, but he will be a guy ranked high in the country by the end of the year.
