 What is the propensity for people to take on one more monthly bill? Do you really want a service tagged to your watch when you've already got your cable service and your cell phone service?

 Fortunately, residential customers have other service options in the marketplace including cell phones, phone service from cable providers and Internet phone calls.

 It's encouraging to see that industry-wide service improvements, especially expanded service offerings and aggressive service plan pricing have resulted in more positive overall wireless service experiences. However, consumer expectations will continue to rise as cell phone users increasingly rely on the communication functions of their cell phones beyond voice calling.

 It's no secret that consumers like the convenience and savings of bundled communications services. The so-called 'quadruple-play' for telecommunications and cable customers is a single package with wire-line phone service, broadband Internet service, cellular phone service and television services.

 People may say, 'My phone bill or cable bill is higher,' but they're getting a lot more than just basic service.

 Most of the big cable companies provide voice over Internet services that are equivalent to regular wire line phone service. The catch is they don't let customers be nomadic, you can't use a phone number from outside your regular service area.

 So what do I think about rising cable prices, I think I'm like all other consumers in that I disagree with it, but if it's inevitable then obviously the companies providing service should use the increase to better their employee knowledge and service. [Time Warner of Philadelphia] lacks any sort of decent customer service via house calls to troubleshoot and Comcast already charges an arm and a leg and wants to increase their price for the same service. Not cool.

 Digital cable, Road Runner (Internet service) and our digital phone prices will remain the same. Sixty-two percent of our single-family home customers won't see any increase in the service.

 We don't think of this as cable operators pushing a cell phone service. We want to leverage what Sprint has outside the home and create services and features so that consumers can take whatever media they have with them.

 This area is so beautiful and peaceful. Even with more than our share of snow, I can't imagine living anywhere else. But every community should have cell service and high speed Internet access. Cell service just makes sense, should your power go out or your car breaks down on the road.

 Once the power companies had done their job, they gave us the OK to go in, and we were able to go in an do our job. We are hoping to restore all cable within the next week, and this includes Internet service as well. If you have cable (television), you should have Internet service as well. If you don't, please call us.

 We've set out to building a better Internet phone service. One thing we know about home phone service over the years is that it has come to be less and less of a value as we have more alternatives for communication.

 [Robert Langer, director of Dell.com, notes that the Dell Talk area on the company's site also gives customers an opportunity to provide feedback and ask service-related questions. Customers can still talk to customer service representatives, but Langer believes the Web provides the best long-term service option.] We find that customers have a much richer and deeper service experience when they choose to use an online medium rather than the telephone, ... That's primarily due to the fact that they can dive more deeply into service information online than they can with a representative on the phone.

 Good customer service and smiling service should occur the minute people walk into the door. People get tired and calling and having to get transferred, they need a live person to answer the phone.

 Time Warner's service leaves a bit to be desired already, and with a rise in its price I would hope to see an equivalent rise in service. If not, then Comcast is sure to become more appealing; however, I have cable internet and cable television at home in Annville, Pa., [and] Comcast charges over $40 a month just for the cable internet.
