We did what we gezegde

 We did what we had to do. In past years we haven't been able to do anything for whatever reason. This year I think financially we had some room to do a couple things. I'd like to think we're definitely a better team.

 We were so used to winning in those days, I didn't see any reason we wouldn't just continue right on doing that at least a couple of times each year, ... But over the past couple of years ... we haven't been in position to do that as much. I think we've got some more victories to go, but in case that doesn't happen we'll make sure we enjoy this one.

 We were in (a second-place) game last year, but we lost to a tough Post Falls Christian team. We haven't been able to get over the hump the past couple years. Now we have, and it feels wonderful.

 As a whole team, it's by far the hardest [working team I've had]. I've had individuals, a group of three or four [in the past]. This year, I haven't had less than 12 girls in the weight room every day. Even over Christmas break, the worst turnout I had was 10 girls. There's only 18 on the team.

 The team has been so consistent over the last couple of years. There's a good reason why they were 15-1 last year and there's a good reason why they're in the championship game this year because they play physical.

 I haven't voted for a budget in four years. I think this year things went a lot better because we were all in the room.

 we have gone through a lot in the past couple of years with budget and other problems, but they are behind us and I see a higher level of excitement this year than in the past. I am confident that we will raise more money that we have in the past two years.

 All of Tom's experience will be very valuable to Oracle for the next couple of years, ... I have no problem with him saying not-nice things about me in the past. I might have said some things about him. I forget. That's all water under the bridge. We're on the same team again.

 It was good until now. I haven't done anything the past two years, I haven't won anything big. Now, I have to keep working for no reason; I should've won states; I should've won this; I just keep failing.

 For one reason we haven't been a very good free-throw shooting team the last couple of weeks. We work on it all the time at practice, it's just one of those things the players have to figure out themselves.

 I really felt we had all the elements to seriously make a run. On the other hand, in years past we had far more depth and could have withstood more things. At the beginning of the year I felt we were flexible enough to pull this off, and throughout the Big East season there was no reason we shouldn't have been able to at least get back to the Elite Eight level and be a Final Four team.

 I've defended well in some tournaments in the past. I won back-to-back Texas Opens a couple years ago. And other times I haven't played so well in my title defenses. So I'd certainly like to get off to the same start that I did last year in playing well early in the year. I can't think of a better place to do that than the Hope. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. I've defended well in some tournaments in the past. I won back-to-back Texas Opens a couple years ago. And other times I haven't played so well in my title defenses. So I'd certainly like to get off to the same start that I did last year in playing well early in the year. I can't think of a better place to do that than the Hope.

 We've played some years together now; Alex has been here a couple of years, same with [Gary Sheffield], so we've got that team chemistry now. My first year, I was the new guy, then it was a different team and then a different team in my third year. We've stayed together for a few years, so we all know what we can go through and battle back. It definitely makes a difference.

 We've had a couple of difficult years financially, ... but we were so strong financially.

 I expect a lot of things out of this team. We have been getting progressively better each year. This is the best team that we have had in the past eight years.
