 Eastern Purple is the only other horse I've had that has run in a Group One, and this one is definitely the first two-year-old,

 It is remarkable that a small group of people could get together and start a school that has grown and is thriving like this one. We were blessed by a group of visionaries that knew what we could become. I don't think you can get a better education anywhere in eastern North Carolina.

 He is a potential Group horse and has shown me as much as any horse I've had,

 I think this horse will only get better with more distance. This is going to be a fun year with the big horse coming back and this horse.

 We really didn't want to do anything to change our horse's (off-the-pace) style. We had a lot of respect for those other horses, but I don't think they had a lot of respect for us. I told Buff last year that this horse would be even better this year, and I think he is. We appreciate this horse and the style he has.

 Last year was the largest sale we've ever had in March. This year I think the quality at the top is better. We have a significant group of horses at the top end of this sale. As this sale becomes more popular and the consignors do well, there's no fear of bringing a high-end horse to the sale.

 I was very worried about the loose horse. Any time you see a loose horse on the lead, you get nervous, especially when it's a two-year-old. If (the loose horse) lost concentration at any point and took a right, it would have been very bad.

 What you'll see is a purple transparent zone within the fairway, and then the outline edges of fairways in darker purple. Golf is one of the few sports where the people who watch it play it. We want to give them a perspective where they can see where the golfers should hit it.

 Everyone here likes this horse, and that means a lot to me. They were nice enough to invite us, so I've got to take a shot. This is a pretty good group, probably the best that's going right now, but I don't look for him to embarrass himself.  I think that in the Breeders' Cup, there will be a legitimate pace. It's amazing to me how little respect this horse gets. I don't think any horse in any division has accomplished in the last year what he has. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself.

 He's progressing and he's a very nice horse, but the favourite looks a very good horse. I rode in the race last year and I'm looking forward to Saturday.

 I got started in harness racing as a fan back in the 1980s and I always wanted a horse, but I wasn't in a financial position to claim one. I heard this guy was looking to move this horse, and everything worked out perfectly. The horse got sharp and I saved some money and claimed another horse. I just parlayed it all.

 For nine years I taught Aspen to hate purple, to beat purple, and we did. This is bittersweet because I love the kids at Aspen. It was out of everybody's hands.
