They could have easily letdown, but they really embraced their role as leaders and came to practice ready to work hard and improve.  We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

 The kids have a great work ethic and get along well as a team. They cheer for each other at meets and have a lot of fun at practice. What's great about this group is that they are helping to form a strong foundation for the future. We have two great captains in Maggie and Kenny who do a great job of motivating and supporting the kids.

 These are a great group of kids to work with and they have been working hard. The kids did a great job of choosing captains and I am looking forward to the season.

 Jenna Croce is a role model for the younger players. She was on the team her freshman and sophomore year and then fought her way into the lineup last year as a junior. Jenna is an example of where hard work and dedication can get you. I am so lucky to have these two as captains.

 He's a great leader, and he has a great work ethic. He helps the younger guys get ready for practice and keeps them motivated.

 It was great for a lot of kids that work hard all through the week and never get to step on the field. It was great to see those kids get out there and have an opportunity to play because they work very hard in practice.

 They're both positive role models for the younger wrestlers. What convinced me to make them captains was their work ethic, commitment and willingness to sacrifice for the team.

 All these younger kids, they're ready to play out here. They're ready to be in the spotlight. ... They're not afraid to win like I was, to be quite frank. It was hard with the lead out there and the cameras on you and the people cheering you. It was hard to balance all that, and these young kids now are able to do that.

 We had two great senior role models. Aaron was a real leader on the floor and in practice. And a kid like Brock, he could have complained about playing behind the younger kids, but he never did. Everyone can learn from the examples they set.

 We have tremendous leadership, which is good. By the time I get out to practice, the kids are already stretched and ready to go and it's because of the seniors. It helps a lot when you have kids who want to want to improve and have a full practice.

 They are what our program is all about. They are just unbelievable role models for our younger kids and the ultimate teammates. They just have an unbelievable work ethic. They are great kids and we are going to miss them immensely.

 We've got to move on, we've got to get ready to play Jerome. The kids responded in practice (last Friday) with a hard, physical practice. ... It wasn't a practice for the weak of heart, but no one complained. That says a lot about the kids.

 I'm just getting to know them but the captains have already shown some tremendous leadership skills. They've got a great work ethic and are setting a good example.

 I'll never forget any of those kids. They've done so much more for our program than just win basketball games. They're great examples for our younger players with their work ethic in practice and the way they conduct themselves.
