 Every time the president wants to say something important they cut it ... this is blatant censorship and an attempt to prevent him from getting his voice across.

 I abhor blatant censorship. That's exactly what happened tonight. I completely understand censorship in terms of FCC regulations. I don't always agree with them, but I understand them. Of course, the FCC does not allow certain words or graphic nudity, but blatant censorship, which was executed by Spike TV, should not be tolerated. This was just as reprehensible as the flagrant violation of censorship itself.

 I think this is a blatant attempt by President Clinton to use the Antiquities Act for political purposes to essentially shut out the democratic process.

 The Dover decision is an attempt by an activist federal judge to stop the spread of a scientific idea and even to prevent criticism of Darwinian evolution through government-imposed censorship rather than open debate, and it won't work.

 It really doesn't matter whether there has been an attempt at an outright ban or merely an attempt to influence these properties. We're still talking about action that is taken under the color of the law and is therefore governmental action that is, frankly, censorship.

 The press have, of course, an obligation to investigate corruption but this was a blatant attempt to create it and is completely unacceptable.

 At the end of the day, if you are talking about a blatant fraud, registration is not gong to prevent it. What it does do is put (managers) on the map. Investment advisers are subject to regular inspections of their internal controls. So by registering, they do have an obligation to make sure their internal controls are much more solid than they would be if they were not registered. It doesn't prevent outright fraud, but it does add a deterrent.

 'To Kill A Mockingbird' is one of the great American books. It covers some important topics like censorship, literacy and gender, which are still very much prevalent today as they were during that time.

 Thank God the governor was the only one in the whole legislative process to err on the side of reason. He was the only one to stop this sneaky, underhanded, sleazy attempt to undermine marriage and the family and implement blatant same-sex marriages.

 I do not believe this is helpful. Jacques Rogge [the IOC president] has said anti-doping is the most important problem facing Olympic sport. It would help if everybody spoke with one voice.
