 Before this, every single nursing program in the state of Oregon had different prerequisites, so a student who wanted to apply here and at Linn-Benton (Community College) had to take a whole different set of prerequisites even to apply. That's crazy. This (change) is a huge benefit to students.

 We encourage people of any income level to apply, even if you think you don't qualify. In January, we had four more people apply than last year.

 It's interesting to have been on the one side a chaplain, intern in the prison system and now fighting to keep people out of prison.
