 Rachel is a special player. She's the first kid I've had that can play at a Division I school. She's that good and she keeps getting better.

 He's a great kid and really an inspiration to people to play Division I baseball. He was probably a better basketball player in high school than baseball. But he has made himself a very good Division I catcher.

 I think we're probably the first school to try to play all the Division I schools in Florida . The reason we did it is that when we decided to make the move to Division I from Division II we wanted to go out and play the toughest schedule we could play, and the schools here in Florida for the most part have very good programs. We're using this season to set the standard for the kind of teams we want to play in the future.

 Every high school player not being recruited by a major Division I program in the Pac-10, this gives them a reason to look at Davis. It's a great academic institution. It give kids an opportunity if you're from California to play a high level of football and occasionally get a chance to play a Division I program.

 They're a school that has one or two Division I college [recruits] each year. We don't play against that kind of player very often, but we'll just go out there and block and tackle like we would against anyone else.

 I know they have a great secondary player. He's a pretty good player. He can play Division I anywhere.

 [Rachel, in particular,] was wise beyond her years, ... I think that if Rachel had been raised in North London, she'd be going to Starbucks and studying at art school and voting for Tony Blair.

 It's not a Division I school. It's a good school, but they should really think about going to Division III and putting academics first if they're not going to put any money in sports.

 (Jerome) is a Division I school and they play good competition. You've got to come ready to play. We played good baseball. But we struggled to win one of two.

 We thought he could have been a pretty good Division I volleyball player. He could have been an All-American. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. But he decided to go to HPU and play basketball, and he was a good basketball player. It was economics. You can get a full ride at HPU and Hilo, but only a partial scholarship here.

 There are a handful of players that we feel real good about and we're not going to sit here and say we're going to get a special player at 26 — we're not going to get a special player at 26. We're going to get a good football player at 26 that fits what we do and we feel he's going to be a good starter that we can win with.

 We understood why he chose a bigger Division I school. But that didn't work out, so we are happy to have him. I knew when I first saw him that he would be the kind of player who could be an impact player.

 Warren is a Division 1 player. There's many levels of Division 1 play. He really gets after people offensively, defensively. He really has a lot going for him.

 I have no regrets about not playing Division I. I love it here at Saint Rose. It doesn't matter to me that we are Division II. Basketball is the same game no matter where you play. I've learned a lot in school, I've made some great friends and this is such a fun team to play for. It's like having a family away from home.
