It's an early season gezegde

 It's an early season loss. We didn't deserve to win. Iowa State did the things necessary to be victorious and we didn't. We have to move on and we have to move on fast.

 We didn't dwell on (the loss). As soon as a game is over, we focus on our next game. We have a very mature group of guys who understand that, win or lose, we need to move on. (The loss) is just one game. We just have to move on.

 And that's one of the things that I think we need to go back and find out, because I was sounding those alarm bells, and to this day I'm incredibly frustrated that we didn't move and could not move things faster.

 To play at 10 o'clock, that means you have to wake up at 6 and when you go for your warm-up you don't feel fast enough because it's early in the morning, ... I wasn't nervous about it, but during the match I felt that I didn't move that well and she just put a lot of pressure on me.

 Obviously I didn't make the game fast enough. I didn't coach up to snuff. So, you know, it's a little bit of everything. We move on.

 It was a mistake to move into these. It's a mistake to move out of them until we know what the financial consequences are for the state of Iowa. We have some exposure here and folks are kind of ignoring that issue. Do we get out of them? You bet. But we get out of it with knowledge as to what our responsibilities and liabilities are.

 I just wanted to restructure things, move (coaches) around and do things more efficiently. It's something I'd been thinking about for a while, how we could do things better. If you stay the same, you're falling behind. We talked about it last season. I didn't want to upset anyone or hurt anyone's feelings.

 Well, I'll take it. I have no problem taking it. Things didn't go the way you'd expect and you just have to overcome it and move on. My season was all right, but (I know) it could've been better.

 We didn't adjust. We didn't move our feet. We didn't play real smart on the power play. We played into the strong checking hands of the Swiss. We tried to adjust and we talked about it, but we didn't do a very good job. We have talent, but it's only one part of this whole thing. If we don't learn from that, we'll be going home early.

 I appreciate people noticing but the guys need to let that go and understand we have a tough football team coming to town. Now we did lose. It was nice to go toe-to-toe with them, but that loss counts the same as any other loss on our schedule. We have got to move on. We have got to understand that there is a lot of season left and there's a lot of things that we want to accomplish this season.

 I didn't make hitters uncomfortable. They didn't have to move their feet. We threw inside, but it wasn't where people had to move. I felt like I had really good stuff today, and they hit it, and that's why.

 He's just a strong, hard-nosed kid. He could do certain things -- he's a beast with his Russian tie -- but he didn't know what he was working for, what he was trying to get. He was just going forward. A good wrestler knows where he's going with a move before the move. He's got to try to score. I had to put it in his head (that) you do this, then try to do this.

 Obviously, we didn't play very well today. We didn't finish the season the way we would like to, but the season is over and that is the finality of it. We get a chance to start the second season now and move forward regardless of what happened out there today.

 We need stops and we didn't get any of them. We didn't move the ball. If you want to win ball games you have to move the ball. We just need to focus on the little things.

 I was pretty shocked. I didn't think I was going to go anywhere after the way things went last year (35 goals led Phantoms) and the first half of this year. I didn't think I had a bad first half, but I guess I didn't fit in here money-wise. I didn't think that they would have to move anybody. It's unfortunate that it had to be me.
