That's what you'd expect from those two quarterbacks because of the experience factor.

 He is playing real consistent. He's very mature for his age, and the biggest thing right now is he's playing with more confidence than anyone else.

 You have to be mature doing what I do. These guys want to see a leader, not someone immature. I rely on my brain a little more than last year. It's a patience thing.

 The type of guy Chris Simms is, the person he is, is always going to help him. He's a natural leader. He's a quality guy. He's a special guy. Never mind playing quarterback at Texas, but playing quarterback at Texas being from New Jersey. And then playing quarterback at Texas, being from New Jersey and Phil Simms is your dad. He has already shown he can handle a lot.

 You go out and you try to do a little too much instead of playing within yourself and playing within the system. The thing this year is to try not to make mistakes you made last year. (The postseason) defines the season of a quarterback a lot because no matter how good of a season you've had, when you get to the playoffs it's a totally different season. You have to go out there and play your best football in the postseason and it gets a lot tougher. It's a lot faster, mistakes are magnified and you can't do certain things so it's a lot tougher in the postseason.

 Santana made some big plays. The biggest thing as a quarterback, when you are playing with a guy with that much speed, is you can't underthrow him. You have to throw it out there about as far as you can because he is going to run and get it.

 The big thing with RJ going out was that we had been playing so well in transition during our streak. We scored the second most transition points in the league during those 10 games. Him being out really hurt us. He's our best transition player.

 We're going to be in a little bit of a rebuilding mode, but I think we have some talented players to fill in at certain spots. But until those guys mature in ball games, you really don't know what you have, especially at quarterback and receiver.

 I think our confidence is the result of how we've been playing. We're a much better offensive team this year. We're a much more diversified. But I think the biggest thing is, we're a lot deeper than we were last year. I think we kind of ran out of gas in the second game because we were playing seven people.  I think it's obvious that we've brought some kids in that can play. (But) the biggest thing is these kids have been in the system now. This is the third year. They have a really good understanding of our system. I think they have a good understanding of how we coach and how to react to our coaching. That's the biggest difference.

 We know that after the Colts signed (quarterback) Peyton (Manning) the way they did and gave him all of that money the next thing they did was go lock down the linemen. If Cincinnati wants to go that route and re-sign me and Levi and Willie and extend Bobbie, then I think that would be smart because with the offensive line the biggest thing is the chemistry and playing in unison like that.

 They'll be starting from a much higher point in terms of experience and background in our system, knowing what it takes to play in the league and all that. I think they came in at a very mature level. To avoid the second year not being as good as the first, I think they have to maintain their work ethic and attitude, desire, aggressiveness, all of those things that gave them a chance to be successful this year.
