 Actually it was easier than you'd think. We were the guys who had the opportunity to play for something. Only 26 players on the eight teams had that chance. We would wake up in the morning and have a reason to train. We are able to have four weeks to play at this level. Since the first day our policy was not to talk about the labor situation. Our goal was to win. We'll enjoy it for one night. Then the reality of the owners locking us out sets in.

 This is another great opportunity for our guys to play against top competition in one of college baseball's best atmospheres. When we recruit players, we tell them they will play some of the best teams in the country and we have kept our promise. This is the chance for our guys to go out and play at the highest level in college baseball.

 We have a number of guys on this team that have been cut by other teams that really we picked up off the street, guys that weren't given a chance in other organizations to play, for whatever reason. The powers that be decided they didn't have the talent to play at this level, and these guys have come in and been starters for us.

 My goal was to play at the Division I level, with a chance to play in the tournament. This is a great opportunity not only to play basketball, but to receive a good education.

 Clearly we would prefer to train here, there is no question about that. That is the reason we have the sessions booked. You like to train on the venue you will play at and have a run around, but it won't affect how we play on Saturday night.

 It's natural. We're in a very different situation than a lot of teams. A lot of teams, the reason they play their bench is because they don't like their fourth and fifth guys that much. I like my fourth and fifth guys. That's why our bench doesn't get the minutes some of the other benches get. You have a tendency to go to a comfort level.

 It was a little reality check that we're not just going to walk through every game. If we don't come ready to play then other teams are going to beat us. We have to show up to play every night with all guys going.

 I've haven't see anybody in this conference play. I have no idea what the level of play is. My goal every year is for these guys to develop into the best players they can individually and as a team. That's always my goal. Wins and losses take care of themselves.

 Well, it's important and what it does is help our players. That there's an appreciation for what we do. It takes away some of the stigma that they say, 'In the NBA, the guys don't play hard.' I don't agree with that. Teams play hard in this league. You get out there and try to play 82 games. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. I just think these guys make it look so easy because of their skill level that people think they're just going through the motions.

 No question we'll have to play better. We are looking at this game as an opportunity. Not too many teams get the chance to play the No. 1 team in the state, so this is a great opportunity for us to show what we can do and avenge a very disappointing game last Friday night.

 I'm always looking for the players to play at a high level. There's always things we can improve on. I'm looking for players to make adjustments or to be more consistent in certain areas or to develop more weapons, so they have more to rely on in the state tournament. I think the guys are playing better than they did a couple weeks ago. They play better, the more matches they have.

 We said going in the idea was to not get anybody hurt and make sure that the guys we had to play broke a sweat and didn't get too stale and give our young guys an opportunity to play in a heated situation against some top players.

 Right now, everyone's going to predict different teams and they should. San Antonio, Miami, those teams on paper have guys stronger. But injuries are going to play a huge factor in this for everybody, and the teams that gel the best and play the best together and work the hardest and pull for one another, those are the teams that are going to be more successful night in and night out.

 Because of the number of people we lost - we had to spend time doing some different things in terms of developing leadership and getting guys to understand what it's going to take to play at the level that we want to play at, ... A lot of the guys haven't had the opportunity to play at that level.

 I get asked that question every two weeks when we play a good team. I can't pinpoint it. I think the level of competition raises up our level of play. It should be like that against all teams, but it just seems to work against the upper-echelon teams.
