 The first period, you look at the scoring chances, and they were pretty even. Their goalie was better than our goalie. Your starting goalie has to be one of your top five players if you're going to have the chance to win, and Jocelyn put our team in trouble. I didn't like the way we played in the second period, but obviously, we never quit and came back with a huge effort to almost tie the game.

 Our girls came out and took it to Walpole right off the bat. I give Walpole credit. They played tough and they don't quit. They're a new program but the girls over there have a lot of spirit. Some teams may have packed it in but they didn't quit.

 We knew Coach Snyder wasn't that type of guy. It would have been easier for him to quit earlier in the season, but we've been through so much we knew he didn't quit.

 It was unbelievable. Making the finals is one thing, but getting to a Game 7 and being tied in that game after the first period is another. A lot of people think they have a chance to win the Cup, but the only chance to win the Cup is when you have three wins in the final.  I didn't feel the pressure of being No. 1 in the pre-season, but the girls did and that's when we went through our little ups and downs. But they got refocused. Emotionally we were so intense tonight. These girls were ready to play tonight because they knew it was their last chance.

 These girls are quality kids and they wouldn't quit. When we were 4-6 they didn't quit and we weren't ranked all year.

 Our girls never quit and showed a lot of desire; it's too bad somebody had to lose this game. Any average team would have quit today.

 Until the end of the game I knew that we had attempted only one free throw shot all night. And I told the girls to quit being content with perimeter shots and drive to the basket. It'll get you to the foul line.
