 People more familiar with state government have questioned how we can guarantee that our state appropriations will be adequate to guarantee tuition.

 At Clemson, you have a lot of people from New Jersey and other states come down here just because we're still cheaper. Out-of-state tuition is still cheaper here than in their home state.

So it is really important that the state continue to maintain their share so we can continue to keep to the tuition down so that every body has access. Federal-grants-in-aid hasn't kept up. So if we want to continue to make college affordable, this is the type of year we need to have.

 I would have to pay out-of-state tuition, and I can't afford that.

 Maybe this is one way to move the federal government. It's a ridiculous way to be addressing the problem to go state by state, receiving threats from the government saying it's illegal, and yet states are doing it anyway. It just shows how desperate they are to come up with anything to reduce drug prices for their citizens.
