 Overall, I'm happy. During the first round of the state tournament, you just want to get a win and get the jitters out.

 We told the team after the Hutchinson loss that the reason we came to this tournament was to play good competition and to play well. Minus the Jefferson loss, we think we did. To be at the same gym the national tournament is at and get those first-day jitters out of the way, hopefully next time we'll be more prepared for this facility.

 Everything was just like I thought it would be. It was fun and it was exciting. If I didn't have the jitters then it wouldn't have felt right. I definitely had the jitters.

 The jitters went away when I put my shoes on and walked out there. I didn't have any jitters when I was out there because we knew what we were in for.

 It was our first event of the fall, and we definitely had some first-tournament jitters. We'll have some things to work out before heading to Hawaii, but this first individual title makes it a sweet trip for us.
