He's going to be fighting for his at-bats and to make a team. He's a very talented guy and usually you don't have a guy that talented in a situation like that.

 I really like his character. I think he's a real solid kid. All the attributes you'd say a boy scout has, he has. I don't even know if he's a boy scout, but he's honest, he's trustworthy and he's easy to talk to.

 They're a very difficult team to scout because they don't really run with a whole heap of structured offence, . If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. .. They have a number of talented individuals that are almost impossible to defend one-on-one, and as a team they certainly know how to get up and down the court quickly.

 Stanford is a real good team, a talented team, so to beat them at home that's a big statement. That tells you how well our team played. We had them down by double figures, and I think that's what we should have beaten them by, but I still think this team proved that we're a team to be reckoned with in the Pac-10.

 We're a team that has a chance to be really solid by the end of the year. I think we're very talented. I think we're better at blocking and better at defense. But we lost a lot of swings on the left with Mira.

 A lot of the credit for this goes to our scout team. Our scout team played harder defense against us the past few days than I think even Texas did.

 When it became obvious that they were one of the teams that we could be playing (in the regional) we made sure to scout a couple of their games. Jared Wood is a solid player. He shoots it well and he gets to the basket. Keegan is real active and is real solid around the basket. And their guard (Freeman) does a nice job of running the team.

 Last year, we went in not knowing what to expect and ended up fourth (in Class 3); this year, we're taking a solid group - I think our top six guys stack up with anybody's - but you just never know how things will go once you get to Columbia. Every year at state, you run into surprises. We just try to take it a round at a time.

 It's certainly one of the strengths of the team because they all have different abilities and skills but are all talented. Three gives you the opportunity to go with who gets hot. If a guy gets banged up, you have someone equally talented to go into the game.

 We're a very capable team. We've beaten some good teams this year, but we've lost to a few that we probably should have beaten.

 I think we're more talented than they are, but they've had good chemistry with their team all year long and they're consistent,

 I think people weren't expecting much of us at the beginning of the year, but we've shown how much we've wanted it and we've beaten the odds. We're improving every game and becoming more solid as a team offensively and defensively. We play together well. Nobody tries to run the show. Everybody works together to try to win the game.
